Marijuana

      The topic of marijuana is very hot right now. Everyone has an opinion of whether it should be legal or not. There are good reasons for both sides. There are states in America that have already decided to make the use of it legal. Now that it is legal it is still only to be used for medical reasons. These other states making it legal has made people in Pennsylvania want to know if we are next or even if we should. I believe that we should. The other states that have it legalized have had no regrets. People who use it for medical reasons are being helped much easier.

    States that have legalized the drug are bringing in a lot of money. The taxes are getting paid and the economy is running smoothly. Those who own the shops selling marijuana live in constant fear of being shut down. The federal government is allowed to shut the store down if they believe it is not up to code because it is against the law. The people depending on the drug are not being helped when this is happening. This is why it should be legalized federally.

     The legalization of marijuana should happen and it should happen soon because the economy is going downhill and the money could really help. This money could go to schools and streets. The money could even support new programs in the communities. The effects of marijuana isn't as bad as alcohol and that is legal. Alcohol is legal because the government found a way to  tax it and they should do that with marijuana. There should be an age limit on the use though.
